1. To be able to live life in purity and live chaste
2. To be able to be a lifelong bachelorette and never marry.
3. A bow and arrow
4. Hunting dogs to assist her hunting.
5. Stags to lead her chariot.
6. And 80 pure nymphs to be her hunting companions.
Artemis was very independant, many gods and goddesses didn't like this about her. Athena had no effect on her because Artemis was not interested in love.

When she was bathing with nymphs and women counterparts, the hunter Actaeon came and saw them all naked and bathing. she was angered at the peeper and turned him into a stag, and made his dogs attack and kill him.
One day Apollo, her brother, challenged her to shoot a stag. She obviously took the challenge and won. She shot the stag with grace and with ease. Apollo then told her it was her counterpart Orion. She was very upset, because that was the only man she trusted and liked.
